Trust and data handling

How do I know it won't make things up?A finding can't be written without a source reference. That is enforced in the structure. Entity matches and ambiguous items are flagged for a person to review. It can still misread a page, which is why every row points to its page and line so your team can check it.
What about confidentiality and privilege? The analysis runs on dedicated hardware with no internet connection. I sign your protective order or NDA as a vendor before anything is transferred. Receipt and every processing step are logged, and the set is destroyed at close with a signed certificate. If you want the work done at counsel's direction, your firm can retain me directly. Whether privilege attaches is your call.
Does anything go to a cloud AI?No. No document, excerpt or metadata is sent to any cloud model or third party. The analysis runs offline, on a machine with no internet connection.
Who handles the documents?I do, personally. There are no subcontractors. Each matter gets its own encrypted volume, and a custody log tracks the set from receipt to destruction.
Will you sign our protective order?Yes, before anything moves. If the order has its own acknowledgment exhibit, I sign that one. If there is no order, we sign a mutual confidentiality agreement.
What happens to the documents at the end?The business day after the corrections window closes, the set and every copy and derived file I hold are destroyed, and you receive a signed certificate of destruction. If your protective order requires return instead, I follow the order.

Using the workbook

Will it hold up under Daubert or Frye?Admissibility is the court's call, and your expert's opinion is what gets tested. The audit log records every step, append-only, so the method can be laid out and disclosed. In Matter of Weber (2024), a New York Surrogate's Court held that counsel must disclose the use of AI and that such evidence should face a Frye hearing before admission. The log gives you something specific to disclose.
Can the other side's expert see the workbook?Yes, if you choose to share it. It is yours to put in front of the court, the client or the other side's expert.
What if a figure doesn't match its source?Send me the finding ID within 5 business days of delivery. I check it against the page and line, correct the workbook, log the correction and send a new version. Row IDs stay the same.
Is this an expert opinion or an audit? No. It is a cited first pass of the records you send, for your attorney or CPA to verify. It is not an expert opinion, legal advice, an audit or a valuation, and I don't testify.
We already have a forensic accountant.Good. The workbook is built to hand to them. They get a cited first pass in 72 hours, and their hours go to analysis and testimony.

Price, scope and timing

Why is the price fixed? The scope is fixed: up to about 3,000 documents, 72 hours, four deliverables. Larger sets and rush turnaround are quoted before anything starts.
$2,500 seems too cheap to be good. The price comes from the scope. It is possible at that price because the platform already exists: I built it for a New York litigation practice. You also don't have to take the output on faith. Every figure points to its page and line, so your team can check any row.
When does the 72-hour clock start? At the last of three things: the full set received, the protective order signed, and payment cleared. It runs nights and weekends.
Can you do it in 24 hours?Maybe. It depends on the size and condition of the set. Rush turnaround is quoted before anything starts, so you know the price and the timing before you commit. If it isn't realistic, I'll say so.
How do the documents get to you?Through your firm's secure file share, an encrypted link I send, or an encrypted drive delivered by hand, after I sign your protective order. Send the set as it was produced. No sorting needed.

About

What's your background?I'm Kevin Matos, founder of Tessera Strategy in Queens and a fractional CTO to law firms. I built and operate an air-gapped legal AI platform for a New York litigation practice, and Evidence Sweep runs on it. Earlier I was product lead for Account Level Management at Mastercard. I'm not a lawyer or a CPA, which is why the workbook is a first pass your attorney or CPA verifies.

More detail: the citation gate, the audit log, data handling, the certificate of destruction. Case cited: Matter of Weber, 2024 NY Slip Op 24258.
